HEAD OF PROGRAMMING

We are also thrilled to have Russ Sinkewich as our Head of Programming. Russ comes to Winterhurst with an impressive background, both as a player and a coach. A former professional hockey player with years of experience in the AHL and ECHL, Russ has transitioned into coaching and programming with remarkable success. His deep understanding of the game, combined with his commitment to player development, ensures that our programs are not only top-tier but also accessible and enjoyable for all participants. Russ will oversee the Cleveland Mini-Monsters program, Girls Hockey, and Co-ed Hockey Skills Sessions, ensuring that each player receives the guidance and support they need to reach their full potential.

HOCKEY DIRECTOR

Brianne McLaughlin is a name synonymous with excellence in women’s hockey. A two-time Olympic silver medalist with Team USA, Brianne has proven herself as one of the top goaltenders in the world. Her storied career includes standout performances on the international stage and as a professional in the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL). Brianne’s dedication to the sport and her ability to inspire and mentor young athletes make her an invaluable asset to our hockey programs. At Winterhurst, she will be focusing on our Goaltending Clinics and Skills Sessions, sharing her expertise and passion with the next generation of hockey players.

HOCKEY DIRECTOR

Shannon Szabados is a true trailblazer in the hockey world, known for breaking barriers and setting records. As a three-time Olympic medalist (two golds and one silver) with Team Canada, Shannon has established herself as one of the most accomplished goaltenders in the history of the sport. Beyond her Olympic success, Shannon has played professionally in men’s leagues, proving that talent knows no gender boundaries. At Winterhurst, Shannon will co-lead our Goaltending Clinics alongside Brianne, as well as work with our Girls Hockey and Co-ed Hockey Skills Sessions, bringing her elite experience and infectious enthusiasm to the ice.

SKATING DIRECTOR

We are thrilled to have Kayla Koewler as our Skating Director. Kayla manages our Learn to Skate program, which serves skaters of all ages, bringing her extensive coaching experience and passion for figure skating to Winterhurst. Under Kayla’s leadership, our Learn to Skate program offers skaters the opportunity to build a strong foundation and love for skating, whether they are children, teens, or adults.
