Winterhurst Ice Arena’s Freestyle Ice sessions are specially designated for USFSA (United States Figure Skating Association) members who are at or above the Basic 6 level. These sessions provide a focused, dedicated environment where skaters can practice figure skating skills, refine techniques, and whttps://www.usfigureskating.org/ork directly with their USFSA-certified coaches in private lessons.
Who Can Participate?
Freestyle Ice sessions are open to figure skaters who meet the following criteria:
- USFSA Membership Required: All participants must be members of the United States Figure Skating Association, ensuring both skill qualification and accident insurance coverage.
- Basic 6 Level and Above: Only skaters who have reached Basic 6 or higher are permitted to participate. This helps maintain a safe and productive environment, ideal for advanced practice.
Program Guidelines
- Independent Practice and Lessons: Freestyle Ice is available for both independent practice and one-on-one lessons with a USFSA coach, providing flexibility for skaters working toward competition or skill advancement.
- Safety and Skill Development: With a focus on supporting figure skating growth, Freestyle Ice is structured to offer ample space and time for skaters to work on jumps, spins, and choreography without interruption.
